Operations
Run it like any other Windows service, with a portal that tells you what to do next.
Upgrades, backups, monitoring and support are built into the product, not bolted on. Every error names its catalogue code and the next action; every alert says which register or job needs attention.
ROUTINE
Upgraderun the installer; migrations on start
Registersstaged rollout with a checksum
Backupscheduled dump; restore command
Health/health/live and /health/ready
Operations
What an administrator does, and how often.
Upgrades
Server in placeRun the new installer over the old; the service restarts and applies the migrations; the version and build date show on the portal; the previous installer stays for a rollback.
Registers by channelUpload the register build to the update channel, roll it out by percentage or by store; registers download with a checksum and re-pull master data once per version.
Pilot-testedUpgrades are tested from fixtures of earlier releases on both the server and the register before a build ships.
Backups and restore
Scheduled dumpsA Windows scheduled task runs a PostgreSQL dump to the folder you choose; the portal shows the last backup.
RestoreA restore command rebuilds the database from a dump; the drill proves it on every release.
Configuration bundlesExport the configuration of a tenant and import it into another environment, for staging or a second server.
Monitoring and alerts
Monitoring pageEvery register with its last heartbeat, backlog, drawer cash, platform, build, clock skew; force a sync or lock from the row.
AlertsOffline registers, posting failures, exceptions, read volumes; evaluated by a worker, sent by e-mail, shown on the bell.
Health endpointsLiveness and readiness for your own monitoring; structured logs with OpenTelemetry traces.
Support
Support bundlesFrom the portal (logs, masked configuration, versions, health, migrations, counts) and from a register; never a secret inside.
Remote actionsForce sync, lock, configuration push, and a wipe that needs a second administrator through a device-signed door.
Release notesEvery delivered build lists what changed, with its date, on this site and in the portal.
