About the product

Which SAP Business One versions does CertiPOS support?
SAP Business One 10.0 on HANA or on SQL Server, through the Service Layer. CertiPOS never uses the DI API and never writes into the company schema, so it works the same on both databases and survives a hosted SAP.
Does a register really sell when the internet is down?
Yes. Every register has its own database and sells from it; scanning, pricing, promotions, tendering and receipts never call the server or SAP. The internet is needed only to sync, and the sync is exactly once when the line is back.
What exactly is posted to SAP for a sale?
An A/R Invoice and an Incoming Payment per ticket, one payment per cash currency, with foreign cash exchanged through a clearing account. Returns post credit memos and outgoing payments; deposits post down payment invoices; cash movements post journals. A daily roll-up per company is available instead of per-ticket posting.
Is CertiPOS a cloud service?
No. CertiPOS is installed software: one Windows service with PostgreSQL on a server you own or a VM you control, and a register application on your lanes. CERTICONS can host the VM for you, but it is still your licence, your data and one tenant per server.
Which languages does it speak?
English, Arabic and French on the register, the portal, receipts and guest pages, from day one. Arabic screens are right-to-left; numbers, codes and amounts stay left-to-right; Arabic receipts print as rasters on any ESC/POS printer.
Does it handle restaurants as well as shops?
Yes. A register in restaurant mode has a floor plan, shared tables through a store hub, courses, kitchen printing and display, split bills, service charge, tips, bar tabs, reservations and pay-at-table. Retail and restaurant can run on the same server for the same company.
Is CertiPOS certified for e-invoicing (ZATCA, FTA, JoFotara)?
Not yet. CertiPOS has the fiscal foundation those regimes need: an immutable sequence and hash chain per register, invoice types, buyer fields and a QR payload hook, plus a fiscal provider plug-in contract. Per-country plug-ins are planned; we describe readiness, never certification, until a plug-in is accepted.
Which payment terminals work?
Any terminal works in standalone mode today, with the approval code recorded on the register. Integrated adapters exist for the ZVT and OPI protocols and are proven against simulators; vendor adapters for your market are scoped with the first customers and enabled per company only after a live sign-off with the physical device.
Licensing and operations

About licensing and operations

How is CertiPOS licensed?
Per server and per register seat. A seat is an enrolled register; companies, stores, users, tickets and invoices are not metered. The licence is a signed file verified offline on your server.
What happens when a lane breaks?
Retire the register in the portal, which frees its seat, and enrol the replacement with a new enrolment code. Its staged tickets are already on the server if it synced; a register that never synced is restored from its own database.
Who owns the data?
You do. It lives in PostgreSQL on your server. The public API, the OData feed, CSV and Excel exports and the backup dumps are all part of the product.
How are upgrades done?
Run the new server installer over the old one; migrations apply on start. Registers receive the new build through the update channel with a staged rollout and a checksum. Every build has release notes and a changelog line.
What does support include?
Named engineers, response targets by severity in the agreement, release notes with every build, the manual in English and Arabic, support bundles and remote actions from the portal.
Can we run a trial?
Yes. Every evaluation comes with a trial licence for three register seats, installed on your server or a VM, connected to a demo company or a copy of yours.
